The inaugural trip is always a fun feeling. As you unhook and lower the manual leveling jacks to your 2022 Rockwood Mini Lite 2205S travel trailer, you get that exciting stomach feeling you’d get as a kid and you had the house to yourself. Here you are. And the inaugural meal has to be burgers flipped on the portable BBQ tucked away in the exterior pass-through, perched underneath the awning
Before you know it, the moon replaces the sun and it’s time to head to bed. Wash up in the rear bathroom with steam floating about from the standing shower. Dry off with a towel from the linen closet and sprint up front for pajamas from the overhead closet, making sure to crank the electric fireplace in the entertainment centre to keep your toes warm as you slumber in the front queen bed. Maybe a quick glass of something-something with crystal from the pull-down rack.
Morning comes quicker than you’d expect as you slide out from under the covers and flip the coffee maker on, filling it with water from the dual sink. Bacon, eggs, and veggies from the fridge, chopped on the extendible countertop, and sizzling on the 3-burner stove to make a skillet. Now park your butt on the couch and chow down at the collapsible table. Time to do something with that butterfly feeling. Yank your coat from the entry closet and rush out in-between the trees in search of more childlike wonder.
