The kids were the first to wake, softly slinking out of their rear bunks and making their way to the kitchen of their 2022 Grand River 22MB. Isaac, the oldest, turns on the 2-burner stove as Marcus reaches for the bacon and eggs in the fridge. They fill the coffee maker with water from the dual sink and, with two too few scoops, brew a pot of aromatic brown-ish water that swiftly wakes their parents from their slumber in the queen murphy bed up front. “How did we get so lucky,” Mom exclaims, “to have two chefs for kids!”
They gather round the booth dinette for breakfast before each taking turns in the rear bathroom to get ready for their adventures outside—Dad taking the boys on a hike, not forgetting the gear from the exterior storage compartment, and Mom relaxing by the fire, the latest Romantasy novel in hand.
Faces burned, tummies filled with half-burnt hot dogs, they retreat inside as the temperature dips.
