June 26, 2027
We got in late last night, parking the 2021 Imagine 2670MK travel trailer snug in its spot and hit the hay immediately, slipping into PJs from the built-in bedroom closet and slept the night away in the front queen bed. We woke with the singing birds, me first, strutting to the bathroom, grabbing a towel from the linen cupboard and washing up in the standing shower. Hubby followed soon after and we went to work making breakfast. Ingredients for homemade pancakes ripped from the pantry, the coffee machine on the solid countertops gurgling, fruit from the fridge washed in the farmhouse-style sink in the kitchen island. Pouring the batter into a pan on the 3-burner stove, we made the biggest flapjacks we could before stuffing our faces at the booth dinette.
Hours already spent outside underneath the power awning, our stomachs again began to growl. We swung open the camp kitchen and got to work, burgers from the mini-fridge being flipped at the 2-burner stove before rushing down our gullets. Suppertime saw his roasting hot dogs by the fire before it was time to retreat inside, the cool air becoming a little much.
Now I sit at the rear desk writing this journal entry. In a moment I will join hubby at the couch, the electric fireplace keeping us warm as we watch something on the retractable TV (not tested). I wonder what he has picked for us.
