What’s the rush? A well-known band said it best—Take it Easy. Parked in your favourite spot, the 2012 Sprinter 266RBS (ironic name, I know) travel trailer beside you as you sit in your favourite chair yanked from the exterior pass-through. With a burger in hand from the 2-burner stove in the camp kitchen, and drink from the exterior fridge, you’re right where you need to be. All you need is your spouse by your side. Oh look, there they are. Even as the rain begins to spit, you stay there a little while longer, the cool mist refreshing.
And if you stay out a little too long, just head straight for the spacious rear bathroom and hop into the standing shower, grabbing a towel from the massive linen closet to dry off in front of the vanity. Seriously, there’s a ton of space. Your partner, waiting patiently at the couch, shoots up and the two of you begin whisking together supper. Food from the fridge rinsed at the dual sink and chopped on the counters, tossed onto the 3-burner stove with a few dashes of spice from the pantry. Now all you have to do is park yourself at the booth dinette, chat, eat, and stare out the window at the surrounding trees.
The rain has ceased, but it’s too late to go back outside. Slip under the covers of the front queen bed and turn the swivel TV (TV not tested) in the entertainment centre and see who falls asleep first as you watch The Great Outdoors. There isn’t much else you need, and you’ll do it again tomorrow, and next summer.
