Motorhomes from A to C

Want to know what motorhome is right for you? Here’s our breakdown on Classes A through C, so you can figure out what you want and get started on your adventure.

Class A

Average Price (new): $125,000-$500,000

Length: 21 – 40 feet

Sleeps: Up to 8

Head out in your personal tour bus. These are the largest motorhomes on the road, with diesel pushers being the biggest of them all. Many Class As have multiple slide outs, with a variety of features and layouts. Even the most basic, no slide models can be roomy and are just as comfortable to travel in as they are to camp.

Depending on the layout, these can be perfect for couples or families, and great for long-term road tripping with their variety of amenity options! Their size makes them ideal homes on wheels for extended time, with division between the living area(s) and bedroom.

Features:

  • Can tow a small vehicle, trailer or boat
  • They sleep 4-8 people
  • Typically have a residential style kitchen
  • Lots of storage
  • Large living space
  • Separate bedroom

Class B

Average Price (new): $75,000 – $220,000

Length: 16 – 21 fet

Sleeps: Up to 4

This is what #vanlife looks like. Essentially extra-large minivans, fully equipped with home luxury. They’re easy to drive, make efficient use of fuel, and can maneuver around urban areas without hassle.

Their smaller size means they can go pretty much anywhere, and can fit in regular parking spots. Great for solo or couple campers (with layout options that can sleep up to four people) while also having a kitchen and bathroom. For if you like road tripping, maybe bring your pet along, and don’t mind the ‘tiny home’ aesthetic.

Features:

  • Full bathrooms (often wet baths)
  • Efficient storage for size
  • Small size but maintains standing room inside
  • Economical gas mileage and design

Class C

Average Price (new): $100,000 – $200,000

Length: 21 – 35 feet

Sleeps: Up to 8

This distinct model with its over cab space is an RV icon. Able to sleep groups more often than not with lots of different bed layouts (including bunks), this motorhome is great for families with a cabover bunk being common, and full kitchens and bathrooms.

Coming in diverse lengths and layouts, with both slide and no-slide options, Class Cs offer lots of room and division between spaces as well as lots of storage. They make long haul group travel easy!
