Let me tell you a tale, a yarn if you will, of a family vacation far to the hills. Your chariot awaits, a 2019 Sierra 372LOK, a family trailer that’ll sleep all…oh god 11 doesn’t rhyme.
Alright scratch that plan. This trailer is worth poetic ballads but I got one rhyme in and this fifth wheel deserves better than my attempts. Because guess what, for a Hallmark family vacation you don’t need flowery language or overblown gadgetry, you need a few good beds, a bathroom unafraid of the gnarliest of messes, and a kitchen that could take on Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner at once for a whole party with a 12 cu-ft fridge, pantry, and big oven.
Spend nights in your pick of beds and bunks: a queen in the master and a second in the loft, with a single berth in the bunk room above a convertible sofa. And those are the just the permanent ones, there’s the second convertible couch in the rear living area and the booth. What that adds up to is a well rested gang ready to hit the hills and valleys wherever you’ve chosen to roam. It means early morning hikes and midday floats on a raft. Afternoon games of catch or cornhole and evenings amongst the smell of caramelizing sugar and broken graham crackers.
All of which sound like they could end in quite the mess. We mentioned the bathroom, but we’ll reiterate it’s one for the books with a grand glass-door shower, extra linen storage, and counter space that leaves room for about 50-60 toothbrushes (don’t check my math ok, but there is a lot of room so just trust me that everyone can have their designated brush holder).
But why stop there, with over 41-feet of space you won’t have to worry about cabin fever taking hold on cold or rainy days. Yes, some may brave the woods even under an uncertain sky, but stay where it’s dry and enjoy a family movie marathon. Along with that sofa there’s also a double recliner couch and entertainment center with TV and fireplace (for ambience).
Don’t limit yourself to the occasional weekend out of fear of living in each others’ pockets. When you want to spend the whole summer on the road and minimize resupplying, take properly functional family space along for the ride.
