I have a confession to make: I truly, truly despise city living. Hate it. The smog, the hustle, the random sirens for god-knows what at two in the morning. The nosey neighbors – oh lordy the neighbors. Worst part of living in an apartment, having someone live above you.

If I do have campsite neighbors, they’re all busy doing the same thing and politely ignorant of me, unlike the monotony of urban living where people get so bored just someone painting their front door is front page news.
But the best part was finding someone who felt the same I did. Now my walks are in stereo, my afternoon is a book club of two, and someone else makes me dinner!
Leaving the “never-alone” city actually made my loneliness disappear. Now how’s that for irony?
