This 2013 XLR Thunderbolt 386X12 is a residential toy hauler for the “get-out-there” family. Haul out the dirt bikes, get muddy with the dogs, and keep just a modicum of evolved society with modern finishes.
When the white picket fence needs to come down, toss your boys (and tomboys) in this rig and hit the road to let them free their inner wild child. Remember, the most well-behaved gets the queen loft over the garage all to themselves. No sharing the storage cupboards, plus they get a privacy curtain. The miscreants (said with love) can sleep in the 12’ garage. It has a power queen bunk, and a convertible dinette below. Of course, the whole area is fit for gear, with tie-downs and an 8’ spring assisted ramp door, plus a secondary exterior entry when the ramp is up.
And if your partner isn’t one of said miscreants, you can share the front master bedroom with its queen bed, paired with personal nightstands. The front slide of this rig is dedicated to the bedroom wardrobe with lots of hanging space, and more storage can be found by lifting the mattress. Great for bulkier items like lawn chairs that you don’t want sliding around the garage.
Now of course, we did say that this is a residential style toy hauler, which means it needs more than just a couple beds and a garage. This isn’t a weird teen 80s show where no one ever seems to shower or even eat a meal! The bathroom can be found at the front of the rig by the master bedroom and has a glass corner shower, foot-flush toilet, and vanity. With lots of storage in the mirrored medicine cabinet and linen cupboard, because let’s face it you know you’re going to need a lot of soap for your gang of wild men (and women, let’s not generalize here).
The final residential touch is the central living area and kitchen. The big U-lounge sits in the slide opposite the kitchen with a wall of windows behind it and with a great view to the entertainment center and electric fireplace. Finally, the kitchen has everything you need – minus a private chef: 3-burner stove, 21” oven, 13 cu-ft fridge, tons of storage and counter space, and a breakfast bar with 2 stools. When you need to feed the hungry hoard at the end of the day, a couple extra bells and whistles can make it a lot easier.
