What Makes A-Frames Unique?
Justly named, these are constructed with fold-down panels that ‘pop-up’ and snap into place in a peaked shape. Usually they have one bed, small kitchen and dinette, with bathroom fixtures being extremely uncommon. They’re also simple to set-up overall with hard sides and no canvas, making them easier to maintain and more comfortable during dramatic weather shifts.
Hybrids:
Average Price (new): $20,000 – $35-000
Length: 19 – 29 feet
Sleeps: Up to 8
These hard side models can easily be confused for a travel trailer, but instead of mechanical slides they have fold-out canvas sections on either end providing full-size beds. Light and affordable, these are great for families providing extra space and can often be pulled by an SUV or standard pick-up truck.
If you like the open-air experience of tenting but want extra sturdiness and comfort, you’ll love a hybrid trailer that gives you open canvas sides for the beds while providing home conveniences like a kitchen and shower.
Features:
- Lightweight
- Bathroom amenities
- Variety of kitchen options
- Extra space and large beds
