For a comfy cabin vibe, big kitchen, and so much storage you’ll think you’re dreaming, turn to the 2007 Keystone Mountaineer 327RLRT. Yeah, that’s a bit of a mouthful but by golly is this coach worth it!
If you hate leaving your good pots at home and dread exclusively cooking with the fire, this rig has a massive kitchen with tons of storage and prep space. Rather than a galley kitchen, here it takes up both sides in the center of the rig. In the off-camp slide you have the pantry (that includes pull-out baskets) and the 8 cu-ft fridge. Also on this side, against the forward wall, is the first big section of storage cabinets and double basin sink, with covers to make for more prep space! But that isn’t the only bit of counter you get; on the other side is the rest of the kitchen, along with the big counter area you also get the 3-burner stove with a 21” oven plus microwave – and yes, somehow even more storage! I don’t know if there was a deal on cabinets in 2007 but I’m not complaining.
Now to one side of the kitchen at the back of the rig is the living area, and with as much storage as this rig has it needs to be balanced or it will end up feeling like a cave (or an IKEA don’t know which would be worse) so the back walls are mostly windows. No matter which way you park you’ll have a view, and you’ll see any approaching wildlife for your personal Discovery special. Also in the super-slide, you’ve got the free-standing dinette beside the angled entertainment center with a TV, built-in speakers, and a Blu-ray player. Finished by a pair of comfy recliners and a matching convertible sofa, you can enjoy time indoors in comfort.
And we would be lost without a full bed and bath up front. Brightened with a skylight, the bathroom has a foot-flush toilet and neo-angle shower (with a tub), and a vanity. Furthermore, you get lots of storage with a mirrored medicine cabinet and a linen cupboard over the toilet! To finish it off, the finale, the piece de resistance, the master bedroom. With a queen bed slide with space underneath and a dresser, you think it’s pretty standard right? No! This rig loves to prove you wrong with storage – the dresser is super wide for one, and then there’s a front cap wardrobe that has a shoe shelf for an extra touch. I don’t know if you’ll even be able to fill every cabinet in this rig and yes, that is a challenge.
