Grand Design has a knack for unique bunk units and the 2019 Reflection 31MB is no different. With a dual entry bunkroom, residential kitchen and modern leather furniture, this is a fifth wheel sure to please.
Starting at the front we have a queen master bedroom with overhead cabinets, parallel shirt closets and nightstands on either side. These are the standards you expect, but they’ve added a closet in one corner so no space is wasted whatsoever! And there’s a padded headboard because we need more style in RV campsites sometimes, so be the change you want to see in the world.
The bath is off the hall next to the master with its ginormous shower (that’s a technical RV term if you didn’t know). Big enough for a college linebacker, it has sliding glass doors and a big skylight above. Then there’s the foot-flush toilet and vanity across from each other. And just like the bedroom there’s more storage in a cupboard above the toilet, a medicine cabinet, and the vanity is expanded to include drawers.
Heading to the back we’ve got the living and dining area with two opposing slides for lots of space (for activities!) Your camp side has a three-seater leather sofa and a large pantry for the kitchen, and a rare occurrence of having the large U-dinette in the very rear. Overhead cupboards for the dinette compliment the entertainment center in the second slide, so you have lots of organizational options before you even get to the kitchen – oh and that center also has a fireplace, TV, and CD/DVD player because sometimes the weather doesn’t cooperate and you need indoor activities available.
Which brings us to said kitchen, as previously mentioned it has excellent residential qualities with lots of counter space thanks to the center island. There are covers for the undermount, stainless steel sink, as well as the 3-burner stove, both an oven and a convection microwave, and finally an 8 cu-ft fridge as well.
Of course, to complete this tour we will look at the bunk room. With its own slide this isn’t just a glorified closet; it has a single over double bed design, with drawers under the bottom bunk. Opposite that configuration is a large dresser that has an open vanity on top, and overhead cabinets because everyone deserves some personal space even on family vacations.
